Vision Planning

Vision Planning Services provided by AASC Global

A vision statement is the anchor point of any strategic plan. It outlines what an organization would like to ultimately achieve and gives purpose to the existence of the organization. A well-written vision statement should be short, simple and specific to your business.

Why is it important?

There is a difference between businesses that have a vision and those that do not have one. A business without a vision is like moving without a destination.

A vision statement is important to a company because it serves as a strategic plan for success. It can act as a guide when employees encounter challenges. Vision statements also help motivate employees to work toward shared goals. Investors and others who show interest in the business may also rely on the vision statement to better understand the purpose of the organization.

With a strong vision statement in place, a company can attract, engage and retain skilled team members. Hardworking, dedicated and motivated employees may be more likely to work for a company that has strong values and objectives. It’s important to engage team members in their work to help them stay motivated. Relating a vision statement to individual goals can show an employee that they share a common purpose.

A vision statement can also help a business identify its organizational culture. Building a strong organizational culture is vital to a company’s long-term success. It’s also important to continue to reference the vision statement to show that the company is committed to that culture.

Why do you need to plan it?

To write an effective vision statement you should think about what your business does, and imagine what your business would look like if it became the best possible version of itself. A good first step in developing a vision statement is to invite your key staff to a business vision workshop. By brainstorming and sharing ideas, you can answer fundamental questions about the direction of your business. After you’ve held your vision workshop and come up with some ideas, you need to create your official vision statement.

Your vision statement should:

  • be clear and written in plain language (i.e. no jargon or ‘business speak’)
  • be passionate, powerful and memorable
  • be short and says a lot in a few words
  • be realistic (i.e. in terms of your resources, capabilities and growth potential)
  • describe the best outcome (ideal state) for your business
  • not use numeric measures of success
  • help build a picture in people’s minds

How can AASC help?

Most entrepreneurs think that they have a vision. But most of these are not a vision. They are just dreams with no action plans, no milestone plans, nor any plan to reach there. To convert dreams to vision you need a professional approach.

Engaging professional business consultants at AASC can help the process. Our professional approach and years of expertise has developed a systematic approach in developing the vision for our client’s businesses. We have a very sophisticated “Vision Workshop” where we process different visions of stakeholders & spell out a common vision.  Then a vision road map is developed which shows the milestones you have to cover, the targets you have to meet The support resources you need each year, The challenges you have to face and how to face it.

We were highly motivated and enthusiastic to see how our vision workshops have helped in transforming our client businesses.
