Ameen Ahsan hails from an NRI business family settled in UAE. And has been passionate about business, commerce and investment from a very young age.
Ameen Ahsan did his Masters in Finance & Investment (2001) from Exeter University, UK (which is 6th in the UK, 9th in Europe and 24th in the world in the CWTS Leiden Ranking). He was the Winner of the International Portfolio Management Award in 2001, an award by INVESCO (UK) and BFS Securities (UK) in association with Exeter University. He was the Team Leader of the winning group. His degree in business management (BBM-1999) was from Mangalore University (India), his schooling till 8th in UAE and till 12th at a reputed boarding school in Kerala.
Ameen Ahsan hails from a business family, where his family owns one of the largest confectionery factories in Al Ain (UAE) and Buraimi (Oman), restaurants, real estate, printing press and an audit firm in Dubai. Being passionate about business consulting, Ameen Ahsan set on his own to the field of business consulting from a very early stage of his career onwards (AMCG in 2001, Capella Ventures in 2008, and finally a consulting firm in his own name, Ameen Ahsan Strategy Consulting or AASC in 2012).
After Ameen Ahsan’s masters from Exeter University, he along with a partner founded AMCG, a consulting firm in Kerala. Later he joined Middle East Strategy Advisors -MESA in Abu Dhabi (MESA was a business consulting firm, founded by European and American consultants. MESA was advising Govt and large private companies). Ameen Ahsan had the opportunity to work on some large exciting projects as an Associate Consultant at MESA, under the supervision of high profile international consultants. This is where Ameen Ahsan, perfected the art and science of consulting.
From MESA, Ameen Ahsan moved to the Dubai based Tampa Middle East as the advisor to the CEO. Where he played an instrumental role in creating new product lines and strategy for the company. In 2008, started consulting services in Kerala (India), at a time when consulting was almost unheard of by the business community. In 2012, started AASC or Ameen Ahsan Strategy Consulting and have been serving clients and projects in Kerala, South India and Gulf countries ever since.
He had been the Executive Committee Member of KCCI-NR (Kerala Chamber of Commerce -Northern Region chapter) and the Chairman of INVEX ( an investment exhibition organized by KCCI-NR) in 2012.
His business and management articles were published in Gulf Madhyamam Newspaper, Dinar Standard (a New York based online publication) and Dhanam Business Magazine.
He was also featured by Red Fm radio channel.
And is an invited guest speaker by various organizations on various functions.
